ABOUT THIS ONLINE EDITION

When I first began this project I thought I'd would just publish a few articles that particuarly sparked my interest in a small section of my site. As I got to reading these publications I realized that there were many articles that I was interested in, and even the ones that didn't really engage me would be interesting to others. So I embarked on this project to put most of the articles online.

I have omitted the following sections, however, because of time and interest restraints:

  • Articles centering around "recent news" and "current information" that are no longer relevant
  • The Free Speech Department, this is reader comments, I may add these in the future.
  • The Classified Directory. It's 20 years old, some groups have gone, some moved, some changed name, tracking down their current whereabouts would take time.
  • "Advertisements" for ethnic places in the last two issues. I may track these references down and put them up on a special page eventually.

Although I am calling myself the "Editor" of this online edition, I made no effort to correct grammar in the articles. Every article you see is how it appears in the paper version of Heritage Trails, with the exception of articles pointing to contact information that is no longer valid, which I've either pursused and offered an online resource or completely ommitted.
