The Wedding of Elizabeth and Michael

Ceremony - Blending of Sands

The sands were poured into the thin vessels that we poured while the altar was being set up.

El reads: "The mixing and shifting of sands signifies the convergence of two souls."

Michael says: "This sand was retrieved by my mother Elaine Bevilacqua from the shores at Brady Beach in the New York Adirondack Mountains."

Elizabeth says: "This sand was retrieved by my mother from the shores of the Atlantic at Kettle Cove."

Michael and Elizabeth pour the sands together.

El reads: "Elizabeth and Michael, as your hands move through these sands shifting and blending them into a new creation, whole and impossible to separate, so may you be joined in body, heart, mind and spirit."
