Definitely egg/milk mixture. You need the milk so you get a nice even emulsion out of the whipped egg. It’s the emulsion that gives you that nice golden brown goodness.

For bread, stick with quality thick-sliced Italian.

Yep! French toast is bread dipped in egg (and sometimes a little milk) and fried in a pan on the stove :) A little powdered sugar or cinnamon may be put on top, along with butter and syrup. Yum!

Nice… I’m enjoying 9.10, very smooth… yes, that is the best way to describe it at the moment – smooth and sophisticated.

I see you had some ‘French Toast’ – please tell me it’s the one where bread is dipped into whisked egg, and then fried? I ask because in my home town we used to call this delectable treat ‘French Toast’, and where I am at the moment they call it ‘eggy bread’…. argh…madness.
