SO yesterday afternoon I decided to take a walk around 3 pm… dispite my terrible alergies and the thunderstorm advisory(it was sunny, I swear!). I grabbed the walkman and an old tape I had and went out. See there is this trail that goes around the apartment complex, a mile long, so I thought I’d walk around it a couple times to clear my head. Well the tape I took with me is a story unto itself %) It was labeled “Music Tape 3: 1997-1998” so it was a bunch of stuff I listened to then. I guess I’m proud to say that it wasnt bad, I have a bunch of those songs as mp3s now even. It was funny hearing the clips of WCYY (the radio station up in maine I used to listen to) on the tape, ’cause it was so obvious I taped all the songs off the radio… Anyway, I was about halfway around the complex and it got all dark and cloudy.. the birds started making noises and I was just like “aw crap, it’s gonna rain” So instead of running I just kept walking… by the time I got home I was soaked %) It was fun tho, the lightning and thunder didnt start till after I got home, I might have actually walked around again if it werent for the thunder and lightning I KNEW were coming *shrugs*
So last night lots of thunder and lightning. I had a bit of a sinus headache though, from my walk, of course I should have expected something like that. I felt pretty crappy, started making dinner when Myk came home but he took over when he saw I wasnt feeling good, he’s so good to me %). We ate dinner… watched Law and Order and snuggled %) I felt much better after a couple hours of snuggling and talking, it’s really nice to do that sometimes… I feel so comfortable with him. %)!!!
So right before bed we came in here to check our email n stuff… and I found mail from my former employer on my desk. I guess Myk had just put it there without saying anything to me (prolly ’cause I had a headache). Anyway I opened it and it was a check for $479 ($650 gross… blood sucking taxes…) Apparently Nice N Easy was audited by the US Department of Labor about overtime wages for the time I worked there and instead of getting in trouble to the full extent of the law, they’ve decided to send all current and former employees who were suspected of having miscalculated overtime. Heh, apparently they miscalculated a lot $650 would have been over 2 weeks of pay for me. And it doesnt bother me too much, ’cause I have the money and I can save it noew, instead of having it then and wasting it with my ex… although, with this extra money it DOES make buying Linux for my PS2 a much nicer option %)! Maybe I’ll convince Myk to take me out this weekend so I can buy it, hehe. See it’s like $199, comes with harddrive, ethernet card, keyboard, mouse, and a version of linux for the ps2. We’ll be able to network the ps2 to the rest of the computers!!! %) It’s gonna be so cool, but since it’s $199 we were holding off, all my income tax return is in savings, and I didnt really want to spend it… but this is like bonus money I never knew about… sooo… %)
