{"id":8762,"date":"2013-11-27T22:47:42","date_gmt":"2013-11-28T06:47:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/princessleia.com\/journal\/?p=8762"},"modified":"2016-11-03T10:27:03","modified_gmt":"2016-11-03T17:27:03","slug":"quotes-for-community-ubuntu-com","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/princessleia.com\/journal\/2013\/11\/quotes-for-community-ubuntu-com\/","title":{"rendered":"Quotes for community.ubuntu.com"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Earlier this year I worked with the team that <a href=\"http:\/\/fridge.ubuntu.com\/2013\/05\/31\/community-on-ubuntu-com\/\">launched<\/a> our shiny new <a href=\"http:\/\/community.ubuntu.com\/\">community.ubuntu.com<\/a> site.<\/p>\n<p>Hooray!<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/community.ubuntu.com\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/princessleia.com\/images\/journalpics\/112013\/ubuntu_community_site_2013.png\" alt=\"community.ubuntu.com\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/div>\n<p>I had a couple of tasks aside from general review. The first was getting more images on the site prior to launch to make it more engaging to people. I reached out to LoCo teams and got a lot of great photos in, but then got <a href=\"http:\/\/princessleia.com\/journal\/?p=7982\">very busy<\/a>. My second task, finding quotes of community members, got stuck on my poor, long to do list.<\/p>\n<p>But now I shall continue my quest! We need short, 1-2 sentence, quotes from community members.<\/p>\n<p><em>What do you work on and why?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Or perhaps:<\/p>\n<p><em>What inspires you about Ubuntu?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Email me: lyz@ubuntu.com<\/p>\n<p>Please include the name which you want to be credited under for the quote, and what you work on if it&#8217;s not part of the quote.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;d like to scatter these quotes throughout the site, so feedback from folks from a variety of teams will be super valuable.
