Our House in Schwenksville, PA

The following are pictures of the house that Michael (Time) and I (Elizabeth, PrincessLeia2) bought. These pictures are from the sales listing, so it's not our stuff in the pictures, except the house itself of course. Unfortunately these pictures do the house little justice, but it gives a good idea. We'll put up new ones when we have them.

Update: Click here to view new pictures of the outside of our house! (01/04/04)

The home is located about an hour drive outside Philadelphia, it's in a nice wooded area near a large creek and a mountain. It's precisely what Michael and I were looking for.

This is the outside of the home. The lot is .43 acres, a lot of trees and little garden plots surround the house. It's set back on the lot a little so that it's not right on the road. The roof was recently redone (2000).

This is the detached garage. It's oversized, fits one car as well as having an entrance into what might work as a wood working area, or storage for lawnmowers etc. It also has a large unfinished upstairs, accessible by an outside staircase.

This picture of the kitchen, despite what the picture shows, it's actually nice in size, and where the person is standing to take the picture is the eat-in section of the kitchen. The entrance to the house is here as well, so you walk right into the kitchen. The cabinets are all new (2000).

This is the livingroom, with the fireplace! The fireplace was cleaned last year, and has been cleaned up since this picture was taken. The room quite large, carpeted, very nice.

This is one of the three bedrooms, this is on the first floor, and very nice in size. Nice big closets too.

This is the other downstairs bedroom, similar to the other one.

In the listing they failed to explain how wonderful the third bedroom is. It's upstairs in what must have formally been an attic. It's as big as the livingroom, sloped ceiling. There is a lot of storage along the sides of the room where the ceiling slopes too much to be part of the actual room, all nice looking hardwood floors. It's the only room on that floor, so the staircase just goes right up into the room, a great loft! We are thinking of making that our computer room, depending on how warm it gets in the summer.

There is a laundry room and full bathroom on the first floor. Both were redone in 2000.

Many of the pipes and wires were replaced in 2000. It has an unfinished partial basement, one of those basements that you're terrified of when you're little, but it really is just for the water heater (new), heater, oil tank. It's oil heat, which they tell me is warm and much better than electric heat.

This is an aerial photo of the area where the house is, I'm not completely sure which house it is. This gives a pretty good idea of how many wonderful trees are in the area.

I am sure there is more I could add to this when I have more time. Feel free to email me: lyz@princessleia.com if you have questions.

I love this house!
