about PrincessLeia.com

Orginally started web design in 1998 with a page called "PrincessLeia2's Lair" on angelfire.com. along with several other sites. Eventually I moved my site to spree.com because of size limitations. This site too was called PrincessLeia2's Lair. In late september 2001 Spree decided to get rid of their free website hosting and the now 45 mb site was forced to find a new home... Good friend (and now my husband) Michael came to my aid and bought me PrincessLeia2.com, and offered to host it. Fast Forward a couple months, the owner of PrincessLeia.com graciously offered the domain to me, so here we are!

Great thanks need to go out to my husband Michael (admin for The Clockbot.net Network) for all the server administration work, putting up with my insane bandwidth requirements, and being so supportive.

Lyz And Cargo I grew up in a small, wealthy town in Maine called Cape Elizabeth. I lived near the coast with both my parents who were married until after I left. I graduated high school with an A average, and unlike nearly all of my other classmates I decided against going the traditional college route and went off to find myself in the world. This journey brought me to 3 separate states, a number of different homes and towns, and many different living situations. I've worked in a gas station. I've gone to keg parties at colleges I never attended. I've driven an hour in a snow storm to see a movie in the city. Have I seen it all? Certainly not! But I've seen enough for now to be completely happy where I am.

Where am I? Comfortably living with my husband Michael. We have wonderful plans for the future. I have never been so happy in my life. Lyz and Michael

It's not always been so peachy. I was quite unpopular in school, too shy, too sickly, too unkept. I've struggled with emotional problems my entire life, being too worried about everything, being too critical of myself, being too scared of nearly everything. And depression of course. Depression has been a defining piece of who I am and how I turned out. I still struggle with it from time to time, but I am lucky to now be in a place in my life where I'm happy enough to usually work through the down times.

I love computers. I love history. I enjoy teaching, reading, knitting and watching all sorts of documentaries on PBS (I go off on occasional crazy praising sessions of the PBS website). I like playing computer games, and attending LAN parties. I enjoy learning new things, even if they aren't in the normal scope of my interests. I try to stay healthy. I hope someday that someone can look back at my life and see that I've done everything in my power to become a well-rounded individual. I like making people laugh and making them happy.

People who are inexcusably stupid annoy me. It's always unwise to lie to me, especially if you're looking to impress me.
