So last night we did have friends over, Ian and Jess… met Ian through PLUG and Jess is his fiance. Both really smart people, I enjoy their company even if I don’t know them too well… I like talking to them n stuff, but each time we talk I end up feeling stupid and uneducated by the end of the night… which is partially true since I didn’t go to college.. I dunno, I know I’m not stupid, I just feel that way in certain situations and with certain people… It’s weird ’cause in other situations with other people I am thought of as really smart.. this ongoing contradiction is annoying… and it has me a bit down, I just feel so dumb right now..

So I dont know why i didnt mention it before, but I got to drive Myk’s Jeep for the first time on Thursday.. I hadnt driven since last december, lol. Not because he didnt trust me or didnt want me to, just because the situation never arose for me to ask.. and I never liked driving anyway. But I learned really quicks that a Jeep does NOT drive like a car, lol. I did fine tho, even tho I hadnt driven in like 8 months… it’s like riding a bike, sorta o_O I’ve gone out twice with the Jeep noew, I think now Myk trusts I CAN drive and that I wont kill anything, lol… I really am a good driver.

Today we got up late like usual on saturdays… played around for a bit, I booted into windows to get the windows updates and an updated NVidia GeForce 3 Vid card driver for windows so my computer will run at it’s optimal windows capabilities tomorrow… found out I hadnt run windows update since january, lol. I just dont use windows enough, and when I do I am doing something specific so I dont want to take the time to do an update and reboot and stuff %) Anyway, it should run ok for the party… it’s just sad going into windows, it’s the only time my poor little 450 mhz computer shows it’s age!

So yeah we are going to a LAN party tomorrow… should be fun. Just downloaded a demo of Battlefield 1942… looks pretty cool, we’ll probably buy the full version when it comes out, and I’m sure people will want to play the demo at the lan party tomorrow, just frustrating ’cause the demo doesnt have single player mode %( I have to set up a local server and play on that… and you need two players at least… i think *shrugs* i didnt try to hard to figure it out since we were going out. Yep I went out today! To unos to visit Bob, a guy Myk used to work with… he’s a kewl guy, fun to talk to… and we got to have yummie unos pizza %d

Hmmm… so I don’t usually talk about lame problems on the scifi IRC server.. but they are present in my everyday life. See it’s a crappy old server, and it’s not hard to exploit, so these script kiddiots come on and make a big mess, of course. So #13thHour has been moderated for quite some time now, sure it might hamper the room from growing, but we are happy with the community we have there… the rest of the server hated us for it, but we didnt want to have to deal with lamers, even if it did cost us the occasional kewl chatter from time to time… But just recently this one kid has been causing a lot of problems, so most of the rooms have become moderated, so of course this kid found away around it to annoy the hell out of everyone. Anyway I thought it would be safe to chat in a few other moderated rooms finally, but they insist on making themselves targets by insulting the lamers in the topics… it’s all quite childish, and I don’t want to be in a room that acts like that… arg… I should just retreat to #13thHour and never leave %)

Anyway… Myk is lying down ’cause his allergies were really bothering him and he took some Benedryl and is sorta out of it now, hehee… he’s in bed so I’ll go snuggle with him for a bit and see if i can make him feel better, hehe *wanders off*
